To mark World Asthma Day 2026, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS) will host a joint global webinar on 5 May 2026 under the theme: “Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma – still an urgent need.”

This joint initiative will bring together international experts in asthma care and research to discuss recent developments in asthma management, current challenges in clinical practice, and practical approaches to improving care for people living with asthma worldwide. The webinar also offers an important opportunity for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the global respiratory community.

Asthma continues to affect hundreds of millions of people globally. This year’s theme highlights the continued need to improve diagnosis, access to essential treatment, and long-term disease control.
